“The War of The Worlds is a period interactive science fiction drama set in Victorian London and told through the experiences of a male narrator and his companions. 

The game is an adaptation of the classic literary work by H.G Wells, immersing the player within a story of the catastrophic destruction of mankind by a powerful Martian invasion. 

Expect a blend of rich cinematic storytelling, tense action role-play, self exploration and scientific discovery as our imperious Victorian society is abruptly torn apart by the marauding extra-terrestrial forces and our people murdered or enslaved. The decisions that you make will directly affect mankind’s hope for survival.”


This section of my website is a microsite built for the Game Design Diploma at CG Spectrum over a 3 month period, designed to support the production of the game within a studio context, with special thanks to Troy Dunniway for his tuition and support.

The Game Design Document (GDD) acts as an appendix to guide you through the sections of work, alternatively you can enter specific areas of interest through the buttons below.

Note this is not a ‘complete’ design nor does it intend to be, this is some early thinking. This is an ambitious project of scale that would encompass the mechanics of a AAA studio and publishing team for successful conception, design, prototyping, production & delivery.
