royal festival hall: cinema design

In 2010 the redevelopment of Leicester Square was underway making it was untenable to produce a large scale premiere there.

HEART Productions used Royal Festival Hall for the first time as a unique setting for the European Premiere of Red in 2010, on behalf of Entertainment One.

The event was hugely successful and the design was subsequently reinstated for the World Premiere of The Woman in Black in 2012, on behalf of Momentum Pictures.

As the technical director responsible for the auditorium fit out, I conceived, designed and executed the conversion of the Royal Festival Hall into a luxurious and compliant 2D cinema auditorium, appointing and managing industry leading cinema screen, projection and audio consultants to delivery this mission critical aspect of the overall event production.
